MEET BRUCE BECK Bruce came to WNBC with an extensive background in sports broadcasting. The five-time Emmy Award and three-time Cable Ace Award winner hosted his own interview show – SportsTalk – on CN8 from 1996-2000 and also had a two-year stint with WCBS-TV. The Ithaca College graduate started in local cable before moving to the Madison Square Garden Network where he spent 12 years covering the Knicks, Rangers and Yankees. He has also done play-by-play of college basketball, football, soccer, boxing, tennis and horse racing. |

Bruce is currently with WNBC-TV where he has served as the weekend sports anchor since 1997. He also files sports reports for the station’s various weekday newscasts and covers all of New York’s pro teams and big events, including the Olympics and World Series. Bruce also works on NBC’s coverage of the NBA, NBA.com TV and hosts the Rutgers University football and basketball coach’s shows.
