Camp Staff: Dave Popkin – Camp Director This baseball season, Dave is the TV play-by-play announcer for CN8's Minor League Baseball package. The Neptune City, NJ native is a veteran of seven minor league baseball seasons with the Iowa Cubs (AAA), El Paso Diablos (AA), Newark Bears, and Sioux City Explorers. Popkin, 33, has also manned the mike for a wide variety of CN8 sporting events including: college baseball and softball, college and high school football, college and high school basketball, and minor league hockey and basketball. The Nutley, NJ resident is a 1993 graduate of the University of Miami (FL) where he also served as the play-by-play voice of Hurricanes baseball, football, and basketball. |

Dave Popkin, one of the hardest working sportscasters in the business, will serve as Camp Director. Popkin has served as a radio color commentator and play-by-play announcer for Seton Hall University men's basketball on WABC 770 AM and ESPN Radio 1050 AM in New York; and as a TV play-by-player for the Atlantic 10 and Northeast Conference basketball networks. He is also currently the host of the Seton Hall Basketball Show with Coach Louis Orr on the YES Network.
